SkenData and Team speedsailing launch a partnership: market leader in building valuation meets sailing - with a focus on innovation

Sustainable sailing: SkenData sets sail as a partner of Team speedsailing

Rostock, 25.04.2024 – A new partnership between two Rostock-based companies is now in place. SkenData, the market leader in the automated calculation of the insurance value of buildings and a pioneer in innovative products for determining the energy efficiency and ESG data of buildings, and Team speedsailing, the sailing experts with their 20-meter racing yachts, are now working together.

Team spirit and trust – important values at SkenData and speedsailing

Sven Jantzen, CEO and co-founder of SkenData GmbH, comments on the partnership with speedsailing: “We deliberately chose speedsailing as our partner. The fascination for sailing and the values associated with it, such as team spirit, adaptability, trust, problem-solving skills and
and above all the environmental awareness have left a deep impression on us. These values are reflected in SkenData’s philosophy and are essential for the success and innovative strength of our company.”

Sustainability is also hugely important to speedsailing: “Both companies have supra-regional appeal and, just like SkenData, sustainability and environmental awareness are very important to us, which fits! Our business can only be successful with strong partners and we have found just such a partner in SkenData,” says Felix Hauss, Managing Director of speedsailing.

Bright blue becomes bright white

For the people of Rostock, the cooperation is visible in the fact that the most famous German ocean-going yacht “Illbruck” no longer sails in light blue with white sails on the Warnow and off Warnemünde, but will be seen in white with black sails from now on.

Team speedsailing from Rostock offers unique sailing events worldwide

Team speedsailing has been offering sailing events on original racing yachts in Rostock’s city harbor for 20 years. This offer is for everyone and therefore unique worldwide. The ship supported by SkenData is the Illbruck, which won the Volvo Ocean Race 2001/02, the most important stage race around the world. An unprecedented success for German sailing.

In the Volvo Ocean Race she sailed in green, then she was light blue. It now shines in white with black sails and the striking SkenData logo. In three days, 100 square meters of film were applied to the hull. The 19.5 meter long Ocean Racer can carry a sail area of 530 square meters. That’s the area of two tennis courts.
